At least one thing we can agree on, Thom ;) The situation in Israel/Palestine reminds me of Yehudi Menuhin. He was very concerned about relationships between Jews and non-Jews. If I’m not mistaken, he said that Jews, specially now, can’t play the Holocaust card to defend themselves. It can’t be excuse every time Jews fell threatened, nor can it be excuse for every mean of defense. He didn’t, of course, deny the Holocaust, but he condemned the attitude of many Jews who think that they can do whatever they want because, during WWII, many Jews were killed. It’s more than obvious that Israel, and Jews in general, must change their attitudes towards others. It’s impossible to live, all the time, in a state of war, or is it?

There is no side blameless in this horrible mess. “Jerusalem Desolata Est”

Truly, when one seeks to understand this endless conflict, there is yet more to learn, but we, as Christians, have the ultimate responsibility to work for peace in the Holy Land.

Peter, it’s always good to find common ground. :-) Thanks for that, truly.

Davis, agreed. It doesn’t matter who is right and who is wrong; by now, it’s a moot point. The violence and terror and abuse simply needs to end.
